Superior Fire Alarmis proud to be Northwestern Ontario's fastest growing company in fire protection and life safety services. We are looking to recruit a Fire Alarm Service Technician to our team in Kenora, Ontario. The successful candidate will perform all Fire Alarm, fire extinguisher and emergency light inspections and repairs. Applicants must hold a CFAA certification, or the willingness to complete it within a reasonable time frame.
Responsibilities:
-Take direction from supervisors, coordinators and other senior technicians as per company policy.
-Perform or assist with performing annual inspections, verification's and troubleshooting as required.
-Complete work orders and reports in a timely manner.
-Read and understand engineered drawings, specifications, programs, schematics, installation manuals, and service manuals.
-May be required to handle after hours and weekend service calls on a rotation basis, once certified.
Skills & Abilities:
-Proficiency with use of computers
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
-Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with both the customer and coworkers.
Qualifications:
-Diploma/certificate in electronics, fire safety or related program, or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered an asset
-CFAA certification/willingness to obtain CFAA
-Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
-Electrical experience is an asset
