Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team. As the Chef Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including food preparation, menu planning, and staff supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety, restaurant management, and the food industry.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute menus in accordance with customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Ensure that all food preparation and handling practices meet health and safety regulations
- Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
- Train new employees on proper food preparation techniques and kitchen procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement cost-saving measures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Oversee the scheduling of kitchen staff to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficient in menu planning and recipe development
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of bartending is a plus
