CHEF DE PARTIE
The Chef De Partie will be responsible for the preparation ofhigh-quality North American Cuisine to support our Events Centre during live horse racing June through September.Acting as a role model, alongside the Sous Chef and Head Chef this individual is responsible for guiding and developing cooks new to their station. The Chef De Partie will work as a supportive team member in a high energy, friendly workplace while following all safety and sanitary procedures.The CDP prepares high-quality, delicious food made in a thoughtful, consistent, and timely manner. The individual in this position thrives on surpassing guest expectations and providing an incredible culinary experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES·
- Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
- Follows portion controls, and presentation specifications as set.
- Restocks all items as needed throughout shift
- Prepare all grilled items using a flat top grill.
- Prepare food using the commercial fryer.
- Cleans and maintains stations in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
- Assist in banquet preparations when required and assist with other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate a commitment to further develop skills and knowledge and initiate action to accomplish goals.
- Act as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviours; embody a great culture and have a high-level engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3 years culinary experience and 1 year as a CDP
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment such commercial fryer, deep fryer, convection oven and BBQ
- Enthusiastically work with co-workers in a cooperative and supportive manner
- Proactive and highly motivated
- Available to work noon to late evening, weekends, and holidays with flexible work schedule.
- Food Handlers Certification
- Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety
- Team Player and attention to detail
