Child Support Worker
The Sheltering Tree is currently looking for a dedicated, trustworthy, and energetic Child Support Worker. Child Support Workers provide support to children and youth on a one-to-one basis, or in a team environment, in home and community settings.
Candidates must possess:
- The ability to build trusting relationships with children and youth
- The ability to participate as a part of an interdisciplinary treatment team
- Effective social skills and able to act as a positive role model for children and youth
- The ability to implement a child's programming to help the child achieve their clinical goals
- The ability to set limits and expectations while maintaining therapeutic rapport
- Strong written communication skills, efficient at writing progress notes and reporting
- Ability to read, understand and follow treatment plans and help clients meet their individual goals
- Experience working with children and youth with special needs is an asset
Please note that shifts during the school year will be primarily evenings, nights and weekends. During the summer months, day shifts are available. We offer our staff flexibility with the schedule.

All staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless they have a valid medical exemption. All staff are required to complete COVID-19 screening prior to each shift. All staff must wear a medical mask while on shift and must follow COVID-19 safety protocols.
