Jack Cewe Construction Ltd. provides all aspects of road construction, including excavation, placing gravel base and sub-base, underground utility installation, concrete slabs, sidewalks and curbs, and of course, asphalt paving and milling.

Overview:

The Foreman is responsible for managing the direct day-to-day on-site supervision of the crew. This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication. Must have civil construction experience. We are looking for long terms candidates that want to work all year long on our Pipe and Grade jobs.

Job skills & Abilities:

· Coordinating with superintendents, project managers and inspectors to ensure resources are in place prior to commencement of work

· Takes responsibility in your team’s development and willing to mentor a lead-hand

· Organizing deliveries and subcontractors for job site

· Maintains daily job site paperwork including entering crew time, material quantities, and activity on the job site

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Functions effectively as part of a team

· Strong decision making/problem solving skills

· Excellent time management and organizational skills

Safety Leadership

· Follows Jack Cewe Construction safe work practices and safe job procedures

· Understand and comply with the company with WorkSafe BC OH&S regulations

· Ensure a safe work environment for our people, subcontractors and clients

· Identify, control and communicate all known hazards to the team members

· Promoting a positive and proactive attitude toward safety, with individual responsibility and team-based safety culture

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $45.94 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
