Clinical Practice Lead
Status: Full-time, Non-Union* Annualized Compensation:* $63,618 - $74,902**

The Opportunity
Under the direction of the Director of Care, the Clinical Practice Lead drives the education and continuous
improvement of core programs (Skin Care and Wound Management, Falls Prevention, Continence
Management, Palliative Care, and Pain and Restorative Care). Participate as a member of the nursing
management team to provide coaching and support growth of team members, including responding to
emergencies as part of the nursing on-call rotation.
What You Will Do:
- Stay current with emerging best practices
and research in long term care strategies;
create, implement and evaluate approved
initiatives
- Mentor and educate nursing staff on
procedures, core programs, implementing
resident care plans, oversee medication
process and completion of MDS
assessments
- Identify needs, coach team members, and
implement continuous improvement
strategies
What You Will Need:
- Current certificate of competence from the
College of Nurses of Ontario, in good
standing, currently requiring the completion
of a post-secondary diploma in Practical
Nursing (2.5 years diploma), or equivalent
- 2-3 years of related work experience with
comprehensive knowledge of nursing and
health care practices and techniques in long
term care.
- Knowledge of program planning,
implementation and evaluation, with proven
ability to impact change through role
