Our team is looking to add a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) at our Peterborough clinic. The preferred candidate will ideally have a background in critical care and have the ability to cover shifts and orientate at our location in Pickering.
Need: A minimum of three 11 hours daytime shifts per week. Additional hours may be available if requested - up to full time.
Pension: All staff have access to HOOPP

Training: Expected orientation and training is 6 weeks for non-dialysis nurses. Dialysis nurses may have a reduced orientation depending on experience and knowledge.
Timeline: The candidate will need to start their orientation in March or April of 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in an out patient setting including primary nursing duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and symptoms
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease management and prevention
- Document patient information accurately and timely
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) license
- Experience in acute or critical care setting is preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
