Job Summary

The Procurement and Supply Services Division (PSD) is focussed on Strategic Partnerships, and offers purchasing, logistics, and supply chain solutions, using a combination of internal and private sector resources. Together, these programs provide innovative, enterprising, results-oriented financial and business solutions to the Legislative Assembly, all government ministries, many other public sector bodies and the general public.
Currently, there are approximately 420 FTEs within PSD which includes the Strategic Partnerships Office, the Procurement Services branch, the Procurement Transformation branch, the Intellectual Property Program, the Supply Services branch (Asset Investment Recovery, BC Mail Plus, Distribution Centre Victoria, Product Distribution Centre, and King's Printer Brokerage and Publishing Services). PSD has a mixed funding model consisting of a small voted appropriation and the remainder is cost recoverable. The PSD budget for 2022/23 is $9.9 million, which includes recoveries of $143.0 million.
The Accounts Clerk will provide support services to multiple business lines within the Procurement Services and Supply (PSS) Division.
Job Requirements:
- Secondary School graduation or equivalent (GED).
- Experience in keyboarding, word processing, excel spreadsheet, other standard computer applications.
- Minimum of 2 years experience with financial administration procedures and policy as they relate to the payment of expenditures, and collection of revenues and receivables;
- Experience providing information and services to clients.
Preference may be given to applicants with 1 or more of the following:
- Experience in a provincial government financial role.
- Experience with SAP.
- Experience with Oracle Financials (including iExpenses)
