Accounting Clerk (Accounts Payable) - Construction Experience

Adecco is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk (Accounts Payable) for a 3-5-week Contract role. The successful candidate will be responsible for reconciling construction cost reports, managing Accounts Payable, and assisting with financial reporting. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $22-$25 per hour. If you have experience in construction or project accounting, we want to hear from you.

• Pay rate: $22-$25/hour.

• Location: Toronto, ON

• Shifts: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm

• Job type: 3-5-week contract | Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Import historical project data and budgets, reconcile construction cost reports.

• Enter project Accounts Payable invoice data and accounts receivable billing.

• Reconcile Accounts Payable cash disbursements and cash receipts.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and construction accounting principles.

• Assist with construction contracts, change orders, and subcontractor agreements.

• Utilize accounting software such as Jonas or Acumatica.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Experience in construction or project accounting preferred.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Jonas, Acumatica).

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently.

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
