RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accounts Payable – process, verify, reconcile and pay invoices in an accurate and timely manner
- Accounts Receivable – create invoices and process payments
- Payroll – create payroll journal entries
- Communicate with accounting and administrative personnel at homes regarding accounting issues
- Preparation of Ministry reports
- Preparation and submission of periodic government reports on a timely basis
- Preparation of schedules
- Performs other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Completion of accounting related diploma and/or working toward an accounting designation is preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in full cycle accounting in a similar role/industry
- Proven ability to work with a computerized accounting application required (specifically QuickBooks an asset)
- Computer literacy utilizing software applications such as Word, Excel, Point Click Care
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to work effectively with minimum supervision

ABOUT MAPLE MANOR
Maple Manor Nursing Home, locally owned and operated, is a long-term care facility located in the downtown core of Tillsonburg Ontario. The home is licensed by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and is Accredited through the Person-Centred Long Term Care Community Standards of CARF Canada. The Home is a 101-bed, smoke free facility offering private, semi-private and ward accommodations. In addition, Maple Manor has four temporary licenses for Interim Long-Term Care Home beds through the Aging at Home program. These beds provide a location for residents who would otherwise be kept in hospital while awaiting placement into a Long-Term Care facility.
The Home’s philosophy of care is centered on nurturing the human spirit. As such, we pledge to meet the individual needs of the clients using a resident-centered focus. Care and services for the residents are provided holistically such that their physical, spiritual, emotional and intellectual needs are met to the best of our abilities.

Salary: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per hour
