Job Summary:

As a CNC Mill Operator, you will machine components for production. Successful candidates will monitor quality by taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, and adjusting and/or reprogramming control while adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

Job Duties:

• Must be able to program and set up Haas vertical and horizontal centers

• Run production parts that conform to the blueprint

• Perform regular machine maintenance

• Maintain and conduct inventory for all required mill supplies

• Emphasis is placed on a continuous process of improvement

• Comply with all applicable OHSA, ESA, and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as company safety policies

• Any other duties as assigned by the Machining Supervisor or Senior Leadership team

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Machinist certificate or equivalent an asset

• Minimum 3 years' experience operating Haas control

• Minimum 5 years' of CNC Mill experience

• Knowledge of G&M Codes

• Must be able to work in a team environment

• Ability to machine all types of materials (steel, aluminum, stainless and plastics)

• Must be able to read a blueprint

• Must be proficient in speaking/writing in English

• Must have good math skills

• Ability to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Hourly Wage: $25-$30/ hour based on experience

Day Shift Available: 7AM-3PM
