Construction Estimator

WB Melback Corporation is a Canadian-owned company with headquarters based in Haileybury, Ontario, and provides Mechanical Maintenance and Industrial Construction Services to Forestry, Mining, Oil and Gas sectors across Canada.

Responsibilities

Provides support to the Operations Manager and Engineering team during planning, design, development, installation, and maintenance. While demonstrating a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, composure, and flexibility when faced with managing multiple conflicting priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in an engineering/technologist discipline is considered an asset.
• Previous experience working in a construction discipline or similar.
• Exceptional organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and quickly adapt to change.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical abilities; proactive in anticipating needs and potential problems.

Duties

• Supports Operations & Estimating Team.
• Prepares RFP/RFG Packages.
• Conducting required research and aiding with the bidding process.
• Perform Project Coordination duties including cost control, scheduling and purchasing requisitions.
• Perform other duties as required.
