Duties:
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for painting construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and identify potential challenges or opportunities
- Create detailed take-offs and quantity surveys for accurate material ordering
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a painting Construction Estimator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction and painting methods, materials, and industry standards
- Proficient in using estimating software and tools
- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
The ideal candidate will have experience in building construction projects, possess strong project management skills, and be able to effectively negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
This position is fully remote but will require occasional on-site visits across Ontario. Valid G dricers license and own reliable transportation required.
