Neerlandia Co-op is hiring a Part-Time Cook in our Restaurant serving homestyle cooking.

What you’ll do:

The Cook is responsible for preparing dishes according to the menu, ensuring high quality taste, presentation, and timeliness to provide excellent customer service. Other duties include:

• Set up and maintain workstations with necessary ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Food preparation (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.).
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
• Ensure all food and kitchen equipment items are stored properly.
• Monitor stock and place orders when required.
• Aid in creation of menu specials.
• Provide excellent customer service to all new and returning customers.
• Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work environment.
• Occasionally facilitate transactions.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Culinary Arts and

• Have achieved a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Diploma from culinary school preferred.
• Pro-serve certified.
• Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, honest, committed, positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Excel in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
