Corporate Finance Internship
Department Overview:
The Corporate Finance department is responsible for all transactional accounting for Four Seasons corporate office and its various corporate entities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities, balance sheet reconciliation and payroll.
Role Summary:
The role will assist with functions in one or two of the key areas shared above. Additionally, the internship will include an analytical project directed by the Vice President, Corporate Finance. The role will be responsible for balance sheet reconciliation work in multiple areas. This role will also have both independent and teamwork-based tasks.
Key Activities:
Balance sheet reconciliation

• Timely completion of reconciliations; compliance with internal controls.
• Use of Blackline software for preparation and reporting.

Assistance in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or both.

• Assist staff accountants in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable with weekly and monthly work including processing, journal entry preparation and posting, auditing, and reporting.

Project work as assigned

• Work on a designated project with the Vice President, Corporate Finance, analyzing expenses and determining opportunity for savings.

What You Bring/Key Skills:

• Experience in a corporate office environment is desired but not required.
• Proficiency in Word, Intermediate Excel (e.g., pivot tables, visual basic knowledge is not required)
• Good understanding of accounting journal entries, consolidation, and financial statements
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• A strong team player.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently, problem solve, take initiative, and use good judgment.
• Able to work effectively in a rapidly changing or ambiguous situations.

Student Experience:

• University student currently enrolled in Under-graduate or Graduate Business, Finance or Accounting programs.
• Active participation and/or leadership in student organizations is a plus.

All roles will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
