Role Requirements:
- Ability to maintain composure under deadlines;
- Ability to work independently;
- Excellent organizational interpersonal skills;
- Adept in PC Law, Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat;
- 5+ years of experience as a corporate clerk with an Ontario law firm
- Ability to work in a team environment and under pressure with minimal supervision
- A background in agriculture is an asset
- Ability to liaise with clients, accounting firms and other law firms as required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Draft corporate legal documents (i.e.: incorporations, amalgamations, arrangements, acquisitions, reorganizations, amendments etc.) as well as partnership and shareholder agreements;
- Manage ongoing corporate maintenance of records for all of our corporate clients and business partnerships;
- Prepare and draft correspondence and documents;
- Completing corporate searches, filings and registrations, and assisting with corporate transactions such as share and asset purchase/sale, and tax re-organizations;
- Perform administrative duties as required, including scheduling client appointments, docketing and preparation of accounts and reports to clients and third parties.
