Our Gananoque, ON location is currently recruiting for a full-time Counter Person. Counter Personnel are responsible for inside sales (telephone and in-person) and are the primary point of contact with our customers. As Counter Personnel have a direct impact on customer buying decisions it is an essential part of their role to provide exceptional customer service at all times.
Hourly rate based on experience.
As a member of our team the Counter Person will advise customers, handle payments, process returns/exchanges of merchandise, and will also:
- Answer incoming calls in a prompt and courteous manner
- Welcome walk-in customers and offer your assistance/knowledge
- Resolve customer complaints or concerns professionally and effectively
- Update the Store Manager of any complications with regards to store or customer related matters
- Set up displays, stock shelves and take inventory
- Keep record of lost sales
- Pre-bill all transfers and orders
- Order parts from suppliers
- Other duties as required
We are looking for a candidate that has excellent customer service skills, is self-motivated, passionate, in addition to:
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Confidence and aptitude to work unsupervised and independently
- Experience working in a team-based environment
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ability to lead in a team environment
- Superior time-management skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of automotive parts and accessories (an asset)
- Knowledge of tools and equipment (an asset)
- Availability to work rotating Saturdays
