- Reports any safety hazard to ReStore Manager
- Ensures 100% compliance to all safety policies and procedures and utilizes appropriate safety equipment and seeks assistance when necessary
- Actively pursues safety improvements
- Certification in 1st Aid as required
- Servicing of customer’s needs and maximizing sales
- Resolves customer issues, complaints or insights and report to RM for any follow-up
- Maintain professional and consistent communication with customers
- Responsible for the cashing out of customers, handling exchanges, refunds and store credits
- Daily balancing of sales and for the preparation of the next day’s deposit
- Explain the role of Habitat for Humanity and promoting our brand within the community we serve
- Merchandising of new and existing product
- Maintains the upkeep and housekeeping of the store.
- Gives guidance and input for pricing of product
- Deliver professional and consistent communication when interacting with customers, donors, volunteers and staff
- Supporting and advocating our tax receipt program to current and potential donors
- Work with Donors to receive the right caliber of product quality pertaining to our retail image
- Listing and recording of donated goods for tax receipting and donor recognition
- Assisting with incoming/outgoing inventory from the warehouse: pricing, meeting donors and assessing goods, assisting with pickup of sold product.
- Ensures all inventory is fully checked, repaired, in working order and suitable for sale having clear and visible pricing before coming onto the floor
- Working with the WL maintains the cleanliness of the exterior receiving area and store’s back lot
- Giving direction to volunteers who assist us with all ReStore including; bringing product to the floor, merchandising, housekeeping and customer/donor service
- Orientating new volunteers and ensuring positive experience to retain commitment
- Working with the Manger volunteer Engagement and ReStore Manager to support volunteer recruitment, orientation and retention
- Advocate volunteering with HFHN, explain the various needs of the organization .

- Post-Secondary Education or equivalent with a minimum 3-5 years in Customer Service related field, cash balancing register experience necessary, previous management or leadership experience preferred, forklift certification preferred
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with donations, volunteers, and staff members.
- Ability to work with a diversified group of people
- Sound judgment, superior organization and prioritization skills.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Self-starter, high energy and strong independent work ethic.
- Demonstrates ability to multi-task and is team-oriented.
- Experience working in volunteer organization.
- Normally required to lift heavy items regularly
- Flexible schedule at required times.
