CUSTOMER SERVICE BILLING CLERK
PART-TIME (30-37.5 Hours Weekly)
12-18 MONTH CONTRACT (Maternity Leave)
This position is located in beautiful Cornwall, Ontario, which is a safe and friendly growing community located on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in Eastern Ontario. Reporting to the Supervisor, Customer Service, this position is responsible for providing service to the general public regarding billing inquiries, payments, routine credit arrangements, and other Customer Service-related requirements. This position is also responsible for balancing and posting payments to accounts and preparing daily bank deposits as well as other administrative tasks. The candidate will also be required to complete the billing process and review readings and consumption for accuracy, calculate and check bills against history for any discrepancies, print and post bills as required. The ability to effectively deal with customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner is essential for this position.

Preference will be for a candidate that meets the following minimum attributes,skills, andqualifications:
- Post-Secondary education in Social Sciences, Business Administration, or in a related discipline, and have five (5) years’ experience in a Customer Service-related position.
- Candidate must have the ability/aptitude to perform mathematical calculations and demonstrated knowledge with Microsoft Office applications.
- Capability to work under a pre-determined billing schedule and meet deadlines.
- Requires initiative to carry out the work assigned with a minimum supervision.
- Excellent communication skills in both English (spoken and written)/French (spoken), combined with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Must maintain a valid Ontario class “G” driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
