What does the Customer Service / Parts Advisor do? Assures parts inventory to control inventory costs and have needed parts available and help assure customer satisfaction levels are held in the highest regard in terms of timeliness, and quality of work performed in shop.
Responsibilities:
· Write service/repair tickets for customers and correctly understand and document Customer Service needs to help technicians diagnose and make repairs properly and timely
· Call customers when service repair or warranty work is completed, and boat is ready
· Prepare warranty return shipments; locate failed parts, package and label for return; file correct paperwork as needed
· Provide materials to the service department in a timely fashion; communicate with technicians in an effort to have materials needed before service work starts
· Control special order and standard inventory items and ensure all items are invoiced to reduce lost capital
· Maintain inventory levels per management guidelines on a daily basis, always making an effort to review and offer necessary suggestions, as product needs change
· Help maintain clean and tidy showroom appearance
· Maintain service records as required
· Other duties as assigned
