Job Summary:
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for promoting recycling and responding to customer inquiries for Multi-Unit Residential Recycling (MURR) customers. They resolve problems and concerns by telephone and email. They are an advocate for recycling initiatives within the City of Saskatoon and coordinate educational activities and events in support of the MURR program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide quality Customer Service and answer inquiries via telephone/email.
2. Effectively handle customer concerns and complaints.
3. Record details of all incoming email or phone communications.
4. Notify property managers of contaminated recycling bins and issues of inaccessibility; offer remedial options to correct the issue; inform of any changes to service.
5. Prepare documentation and reports as required.
6. Coordinate the scheduling and dispatch of company vehicles for confidential shredding.
7. Assist customers with drop off shredding; process requests and receive payment.
8. Reconcile service records.
9. Liaise with collections contractor to ensure pickups are completed as scheduled.
10. Plan, organize and coordinate educational and engagement events.
11. Plan, organize and coordinate information distribution.
12. Maintain accurate records.
13. Keep informed and up to date on municipal recycling issues, services, programs and initiatives.
14. Provide Recycling Education tours to visiting school groups.
15. Provide support for internal recycling initiatives within Cosmo.
Post-secondary Education in the area of Administration, Marketing and/or Customer Service is an asset.
Ability to become NAID (National Association for Information Destruction) certified is mandatory. Criminal Record Check required.
