Cybersecurity Analyst

Vretta is looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. This position requires creative problem solving ability, and a sound technical ability to be able to understand requirements, and support the maintenance of the security of our systems and platforms. As a member of the cybersecurity team at Vretta, the Cybersecurity Analyst should have the attitude and energy to contribute to an innovative and dynamic environment to facilitate learning and assessment solutions and support student success.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts to identify potential threats.
• Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents and provide timely and effective responses.
• Implement and refine incident response plans to mitigate future risks.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify and prioritize security weaknesses.
• Provide recommendations for enhancing the overall security posture.
• Collaborate with the team to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure a secure computing environment.
• Stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities to proactively address potential risks.
• Participate in the design and implementation of security infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the team to integrate security controls into systems and networks.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
• Conduct compliance assessments to ensure adherence to security standards.
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• Foster a culture of security awareness and best practices within the organization.

Requirements

• Undergrad in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus, etc.).
