Sheaves Capital is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst who will be responsible for determining our customers’ creditworthiness. The Credit Risk Analyst will work closely with our partners and agents in document collection and facilitate closings.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth analysis of prospective clients by reviewing supporting documents including bank statements, cashflows, applications, etc.
- Request and verify documents for loan application completeness
- Approve or decline applications
- Monitor compliance and follow up with credit agreement breaches and submit status report to credit committee
- Prioritize applications and workflow to ensure consistent and sound risk assessments are maintained while managing high volumes and a continued focus on service excellence.
- Stays current with latest industry knowledge, competition and market trends
- Communicate and coordinate with agents, clients and partners
- Assist credit committee in developing underwriting standards and compliance and control requirements
- Participate in the collections review committee and establish remedial actions plans based on delinquent accounts
Requirements
- Sound judgment and ability to make decisions
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Enjoys working in a team environment and independently
- Post-secondary education in business, accounting, or equivalent experience
- Fluency in French is an asset

Salary: $50,000.00 per year
