Driver/Warehouse Worker

AWS Welding Supplies & Repairs Ltd. is looking for a driver/shipper to transport gas cylinders to and from our customers, daily deliveries for our customer orders and picking up supplies as needed from our vendors. Must be 25 years of age or older due to insurance coverage with a clean driving record. Must be physically fit, able to lift up to 75 lb dangerous goods cylinders, be willing to operate a forklift and overhead crane.

This position will work 6-8 hours per day depending on workload. Extra duties are expected during delivery downtime. The duties for this position are:

Driver Responsibilities (Nisku Area and Edmonton)

· Deliver dangerous goods gas cylinders of up to 75 lbs.

· Deliver orders to customers.

· Pick-up supplies from vendors.

Company Vehicle Maintenance

· Make sure all vehicles have fuel.

· Regular vehicle service appointments.

· Vehicle Cleaning - detailing of exterior and interior at all times.

· Daily Vehicle Inspections.

Warehouse Receiving

· Forklift/Pallet Jack Operation – Move new shipments to appropriate inventory area, help organize 3 bays and maintain cleanliness of warehouse areas, sweeping floors when needed.

· Crane Operation - Assist with the service department in loading and unloading welding machines.

· Receiving shipments when in the warehouse.

· Assist with order picking and organize daily delivery schedule.

· Organize, clean and put away inventory.

· Shoveling in the winter for store front, 3 bay areas and cylinder platform.

· Extra duties assigned as required.

Position – 8 hours daily.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
