Project Overview
Bechtel has been appointed as the Delivery Partner, supporting our customer Metrolinx as part of an integrated team, to help deliver the signature Ontario Line Subway (OLS) Project, a transformational transit project for the Greater Toronto Area. The multi-billion dollar project scope includes the design build, operations and maintenance of all infrastructure and rail systems associated with 15 stations and over 15km of new alignment.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Delivery Manager to lead the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations project, the scope of which is a 3 km segment of Tunnel and 2 deep Underground Stations, including an interchange station at Pape. As the Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project delivery, including cost and schedule performance, risk management, and site team coordination.

Responsibilities
-Lead the planning and execution of the project, from contract award through to completion.
-Manage project budget, schedule, and resources to facilitate successful project completion, handover and close out within established constraints.
-Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project success, and develop contingency plans as necessary.
-Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management, project sponsors, and team members.
-Coordinate with contractor, engineering authority, and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure project goals and milestones are achieved.
-Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and project specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
-Manage and motivate a diverse team of project professionals, including engineers, construction professionals, and other support staff.
-Continuously monitor project progress and take corrective action as needed to keep the project on track.
-Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports.
-Experience working on progressive design build, or other collaborative delivery models is an asset.
 
Qualifications and Skills
Basic Qualifications
-Typically requires bachelor’s or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 15+ years of relevant experience or 19+ years of relevant work experience relevant experience in lieu of degree.  Min 15 years of experience in roles on related infrastructure, transit and rail construction projects.
 
Additional Qualifications
-Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team of professionals.
-Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks that could impact project success.
-Proficiency in project management software tools and techniques.
-Knowledge of safety regulations and project management best practices.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
-Technical knowledge and experience of relevant construction methods and systems including:
-Tunneling and underpinning works including experience with Sequential Excavation Methods (SEM).
-Deep excavations and shoring.
-Underground station construction.  
-Has knowledge of construction activities as they relate to engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling, and contract administration.
-Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the relevant Environmental, Health and Safety regulations as they relate to area of responsibility.
-Knowledge of project-specific environmental compliance requirements. 
-Knowledge of the use of subcontracts; knowledge of the contractor/subcontractor’s responsibilities contained in subcontract documents. Prior experience supervising and administering contractors.
