What is the opportunity?
Our RBC Insurance Digital & Data (D&D) team is currently hiring a Senior Manager, Digital Delivery Practice. In this exciting new role, you will have the opportunity to lead the RBCI Project Management practice, partnering with key members of Digital & Data, Business Leaders, and key stakeholders to ensure successful execution of prioritized work for RBC Insurance using an Agile Operating Model in alignment to enterprise standards.
What will you do?
- Lead PM practice, including management of materials/resources and communication to practitioners, training facilitation, continuous improvement of practice and support establishment of Product Chapter
- Collaborate with other platforms across the enterprise and seek out industry trends to build maturity, quality, and speed of delivery through improvement of agile project management methods, processes, tools, standards and best practices
- Work closely with our intake team, support prioritization of work, and capability alignment to pair support for squads/initiatives
- Build effective relationships with key partners, including Agile coaches, Risk Leads, Product Managers/Owners and Scrum Masters
- Work with Director, Agile Delivery Practice and key partners, support transformation of governance guidelines aligned with Agile Operating Model (AOM) and Enterprise Project Risk Group (PRG)
- Provide leadership to a team of Project Managers building capabilities through regular and informal coaching, contributing to talent management, personal development planning & support, and working closely with Agile coaches to enhance PM skillsets and squad performance and develop members for future growth within department and organization
- Excel in Project Delivery through Project Management activities for identified Journeys/squads in alignment with RBCI AOM
Here's what we need from you:
Must-have
- Ability to lead transformational change, coupled with demonstrated leadership experience and strong coaching abilities, with the ability to contribute to strategy through expertise
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with ability to identify gaps/development opportunities and work closely with direct reports, key partners, and coaches to elevate performance
- Strong understanding of, and experience with, RBC's Agile project management frameworks and tools (e.g. Planview, Jira, Leankit, Confluence), including experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience with understanding and application of governance guidelines balanced with alignment to an Agile Operating Model
- Track record of successful delivery as Project Manager/Scrum Master with focus on driving outcomes aligned to business objectives
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work for the greatest impact through effective decision-making skills, with a growth mindset and the desire to continuously learn and improve
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship building skills
Nice to Have
- Certified Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Designation and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation (preferred)
