Dietary Aide

Qualifications:

• Completion of a recognized Food Handler training program, i.e. NSTP
• Food service experience necessary
• Previous employment in a health care/hospitality setting an asset
• Demonstrated understanding of/empathy for the needs of seniors
• Familiar with HACCP, WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety, Sanitation Code
• Willingness and ability to learn

Job Description:

• Assist Cook with food preparation as required
• Complete departmental cleaning and ware washing as required
• Be knowledgeable of and practice residence's fire and safety programs
• Serve food to residents observing special diet restrictions, resident preferences and outlined departmental procedures
• Clear tables, load and safely operate dishwasher, complete manual ware washing as required
• Perform all other job duties as assigned
• Refer and adhere to all policies and procedures as they are in effect.

Salary: TBD based on experience

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: From $17.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Seaforth, ON N0K 1W0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Serving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Food Handler Certification (required)
