About the McCormick Care Group
Founded in 1874 as the Women’s Christian Association, the McCormick Care Group is committed to advancing dementia care through the programs and services delivered in:
- The Home: Our accredited, not-for-profit, long-term care home serves a total of 160 residents with dementia whom are no longer able to live safely and independently within our 5 residential home areas.
- The Day and Respite Programs: The McCormick Dementia Services offers the largest day program of its kind in Ontario! Through their commitment to delivering the highest quality programs and services to clients in our day program, overnight respite program and care partner support programs.

Summary:
- To effectively and efficiently provide meal service to residents/clients/guests in a pleasant, safe and sanitary environment.
- To assist as necessary and as assigned in the preparation of baking/catering requests in a pleasant, safe and sanitary environment.
Job Requirements
- Completion, or currently enrolled in a Food Service Worker program at a college established under the Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology Act or provided by a registered private career college and approved by the Superintendent of Private Career Colleges under the Private Colleges Act required
- Completion of Food Handler Training program with current certification required
- Experience in a Long Term Care setting preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as an effective team member
- Capable of meeting physical demands of the job
- Demonstrated safe food handling and food safety sanitation required
- Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Demonstrated commitment to relationship-centered care
- Must be able to perform all duties utilizing the core Values of McCormick Care Group: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Collaboration.
