The successful candidate will have related experience and has a passion for providing high quality care and support for seniors.
Reporting to the Community Manager, and working under the direction of the Kitchen Manager, the Dietary Aide performs various duties relating to the preparation and distribution of meals and beverages within the campus. Responsibilities of the Dietary Aide include carrying out such tasks as washing and peeling meal ingredients, delivery of meals via hot wagon to resident neighborhoods, portioning and serving resident meals, washing dishes and utensils and cleaning kitchen and dining areas.
This position requires an organized and enthusiastic person who possesses the required qualifications and experience to provide a variety of duties including serving, checking resident trays and meals for appearance and accuracy, preparing food items for processing and other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
May also provide table service for special and catered events as well as other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

We are looking for someone who:
- Counts, weighs and/or measures ingredients for assigned food preparation areas.
- Portions out and serves food and beverages in the dining room, gathers and replaces supplies as required.
- Loads hot wagons and delivers food to resident neighborhoods.
- Stock resident kitchens within each neighborhood with such items as paper products, snacks, beverages and staple goods.
- Prepares tables in dining areas before mealtimes, with items such as napkins, placemats, utensils, condiments and beverages.
- Prepares beverages and food items such as tea, coffee and toast; assembles food items such as sandwiches and salads.
- Washes, peels and stores vegetables and fruit.
- Assists the Chef with portioning and service of meals for special and catered events.
- Operates dishwashing machine, stacks clean dishes and utensils; sets, clears and cleans dining tables.
- Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping and damp mopping floors; sanitizing counter tops, sinks, machines and equipment; spot washing walls and splash areas; and removing trash.
- Performs related clerical duties such as answering the phone and documenting information on menu cards.
- Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check
- Provide a negative TB Screening and immunization records; and,
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccinations or approved exemption for an accommodation based on a reason related to human rights.
