Position Summary
The role of the Dining Room attendant is to enhance the experience of the guest at PRTC by providing cheerful, competent and efficient service to all guests during meal periods and coffee breaks.
Key Responsibilities
Arrive in the restaurant at the designated time of your shift start, dressed and ready to work.
Greet all guests in a pleasant manner, if possible by name, as they enter the restaurant and go through the cashier desk. Acknowledge guests when they sit down to dine, table check to make sure their meals are satisfactory. Clear dishes quickly, quietly and efficiently as soon as guests are finished, check to ensure they have enjoyed their meals and thank guests.
Maintain spotless cleanliness in the Dining Room and servery area including all counters, equipment, tables, and floor. Continuously keep an eye on the buffet for adequate supplies and cleanliness. Wipe up any spills immediately. Ensure adequate supply of all beverages and sundry servery items as well as utensils, napkins and plates.
Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the daily menu and be able to answer all basic questions about the various menu offerings. Communicate frequently with the kitchen to advise of any special requests or anomalies that may affect the kitchen operation. Notify supervisor of any complaints or requests you are unable to accommodate.

Salary: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 36 per week
