The goal of the Dining Room Supervisor works to ensure a smooth operation of our Dining Room by directing, scheduling and training staff to create an enjoyable experience for all our guests.
Position
- Full- time, hourly
- Huntsville, Ontario, Canada
Responsibilities
- Receive and greet members and guests; assist with seating. Anticipate guest needs and ensure that service meets/exceed expectations to ensure a memorable and pleasant dining experience.
- Maintain communication with and supports the Guest Services Director and Chef
- Inspect Dining Room, table settings, chairs, floors, proper maintenance, cleanliness and safety. Takes immediate action to correct any issues.
- Train new hires in service standards
- Act as initial contact for disciplinary actions. Assure that actions are consistent and accurate.
- There will be weeks when full-time hours may not be available in the Dining Room. During these weeks, additional hours will be available in other departments such as housekeeping.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Hours of Work
- 40 hours/week
- Daytime, evening, weekend shifts will be required
Qualifications
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ and servant attitude toward serving MBC guests
- A solid work ethic, an eye for the big picture and being willing and ready to serve others
- Mature in conduct, quick on feet; fast responding and can handle crisis
- Maintain safe and clean facilities environment by developing, enforcing and complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Signed agreement to the Muskoka Bible Centre Code of Conduct
- Adhere to the MBC Statement of Faith & Doctrine
- Customer service, retail, and/or office experience an asset.
Compensation
- Hourly wage based on experience plus 4% vacation pay
