DINING ROOM SUPERVISOR

Orchard View by the Mississippi is a privately owned retirement residence located in Almonte. Our home is comprised of seniors at different levels of ability from independent to assisted living to memory care.

The Dining Room Supervisor oversees all aspects of the Dining Room operation, including training, setup, service, breakdown, cleanliness, equipment, furnishings, and ordering of service supplies for dining and special events. The Dining Room Supervisor coordinates with kitchen staff to maintain smooth, efficient and pleasant service at all times. Also assists with staffing and scheduling.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth, efficient and pleasant service is provided to all residents, at each meal;
• Maintain good and regular communication;
• Ensure the Dining Room is kept at an acceptable level of cleanliness;
• Conduct daily spot checks of inventory in the Dining Room;
• Conduct checks of the Dining Room on a weekly basis and report any problems to the Dietary Director;
• To perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Director.

Qualifications:

· Ability to train employees on company policies and procedures

· Knowledge of correct serving practices

· Ability to work independently and as a team player

· Skill in overseeing and supervising staff, including organizing workflow

· Ability to interact courteously and professionally with residents and co-workers

Must be currently residing and eligible to work in Canada.

Salary: $17.00-$18.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Weekend availability

• Almonte, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
