Dining Server

This position is permanent, part time and is from 11:00am-7:00pm, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

We currently have multiple opportunities for casual on-call and part time staff in the Dining Services Team as Dining Servers.

Casual Dining Server

Our Dining Servers provide a refined, relaxed and welcoming dining experience to our residents. To succeed in this role, you must have previous service experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment, be flexible, patient and want to deliver outstanding service to our community. The Dining Server role involves serving lunch and dinner to our residents in a restaurant style environment. Some kitchen equipment cleaning and dishwashing is also required.

The following qualifications are required:

• Grade 12 diploma.
• Proven experience in working professionally with senior clientele.
• Excellent English skills, both communicating with residents and with staff.
• Certified Food Safe.
• Serving it Right.
• Knowledge of WHMIS
• Proof of flu immunization.
• Previous experience in food service in a hospitality or restaurant setting is preferred.
• A person with positive self-projection and ability to use initiative in problem solving.
• Ability to work independently as well as taking direction, a team player; flexible and versatile.
• A people-person with a heart for seniors and a positive, outgoing disposition.
• You must demonstrate a desire and passion for delivering the best service experience for our resident community and want to be involved in staff initiatives.
