Director, Applications & IT Service Management
Under the leadership of the Vice President, Applications & IT Service Delivery, you will be leading a team in guiding the creation, development, and implementation of IT Service Management strategic initiatives and while ensuring all appropriate systems are in place to support enterprise-wide operations, functions, goals, and organizational objectives as well as overseeing the operation and strategic planning of Business Applications.
Here is what a typical day looks like
- Leading the collaborative, dynamic planning process – prioritizing the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team and ensuring timelines of delivery and the end-to-end quality of the delivery solution are defined and met
- Guiding the continuous transformation and improvement of Business Applications as well as delivering best practices supporting IT service management
- Managing the effective delivery of all service level commitments, ensuring client satisfaction, budget management, and operational policy development aligned with the leadership area
- Supporting and overseeing vendor contracts, ensuring effective services are provided to support overall organizational requirements
- Guiding activities to build and maintain a best-in class service delivery organization that is scalable, efficient and driven to meet the demands of our customers
- Focusing on remaining current with all deployed technology platforms & solutions to leverage industry knowledge and expertise
- Establishing metrics, analyzing processes and implementing standard methodologies, tools and best practices to ensure high quality application delivery and governance
- Delivering effective communication of IT service management strategies, processes and procedures across Technology Services and the organization, focusing on strategies to promote buy-in across the organization
The value you bring
- Extensive experience in IT Service Management on an enterprise wide scale in a medium size organization (1000+ employees), Windows environment an asset.
- Leadership experience at a senior level coaching & mentoring other IT professionals
- Experience driving Applications Management programs and aligning to strategy and executing against framework.
- Comfortable presenting to Senior and Executive leaders via various platforms.
Hours: Full-time - 37.5 hour/week
Location: Remote within Western Canada
Compensation Range: $118,000 – $160,000
