Job Description
Reporting to the Managing Director, the incumbent will play a leading role in the outreach and management of strategic projects for Espace CDPQ. The Director has leadership qualities, excellent organizational skills and a strategic mindset for advising senior management. The successful candidate will choose, organize and prioritize critical projects and initiatives to enable senior management to make effective decisions and deliver on their objectives.
Main responsibilities
Planning and team management
In conjunction with the Managing Director, work on the development of plans for Espace CDPQ and support senior management in the preparation of documentation for stakeholders.
Manage the team of professionals (communications and partnerships, project and event management).
Projects, outreach and collaborations
Lead projects, their implementation and the internal and external communication strategy, in line with the organization’s objectives.
Play an advisory role with senior management in order to help define orientations for the development of actions, processes and means to achieve objectives.
Provide expertise and assistance to senior management in the integration and implementation of new processes and systems.
Develop and/or attract new projects, partnerships or events based on market trends, internal stakeholder initiatives, partner needs and/or opportunities arising from innovative entrepreneurship.
Monitor performance indicators and impact assessments and analyze results to ensure continuous improvement.
Develop new collaborations and maintain good relations with Espace CDPQ business partners and the various players in the ecosystem.
Collaborate in the development of content and the production of various tools: presentation documents, notes, speeches, PowerPoint presentations and press releases.
Support the organization and team in any other related tasks depending on business needs.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (administration, communications, marketing or related field)
Experience in venture capital, financing or entrepreneurship
10 to 13 years of experience in project management, communications, marketing or partnership development
Team management experience
Excellent command of French and English (spoken and written) and advanced writing skills
Strong interest in economic and financial content
Good understanding of budgets
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite software
