About Us:

The Evergreens Foundation operates senior and social housing facilities in Hinton, Jasper, Edson, Grade Cache, and Evansburg. Join us in amplifying our social impact and contributing to a better future for seniors.

The Role: Director of People and Culture

  • Drive employee capability and satisfaction, foster a positive work culture
  • Key member of the Executive Team, working closely with CAO and COO
  • Manage HR and Payroll for approx. 180 employees across 5 locations
  • Align HR strategy with the Foundation's Mission, Vision, and Strategy
  • Lead HR and Payroll team, while ensuring compliance
  • Advise, guide and coach managers on people management matters
  • Handle Employee and Industrial Relations matters
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee all HR and Payroll needs, both operational and strategic
  • Support leaders to act as a catalyst for change while enhancing their leadership capability in people management

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum five years of HR management experience in unionized and non-unionized environments
  • Knowledge of Canadian employment regulations
  • Executive/Leadership team experience
  • Strong influencer with a track record of positive work culture initiatives
  • Resourceful, results-oriented, with a people-first and agile mindset
