Summary:
Under the direction of the Team Leader, the Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching calls for material pick- up and delivery from both town and sites.

Knowledge and Requirements:
· Valid Class Five (5) driver’s license
· Minimum two (2) years experience is required
· Ability to speak, read and write English is required
· Warehousing/ yard work experience an asset
· Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
· High school diploma or GED an asset
· Advanced computer skills - Outlook, Excel, Word
· Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
· Able to work well under pressure
· Flexible, able to deal with change
· Strong attention to detail
· Very organized, with excellent multi-tasking and problem solving skills

Work Schedule is Monday to Friday; 8 hours per day
Responsibilities:
· Schedule and dispatch trucks the timeliest service possible.
- Schedule and dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles to appropriate locations according to requests, specifications, or needs, using telephones.
- Track and record vehicle 360 inspections.
- Schedule equipment as required, keeping in mind deadlines and client needs.
- Maintain a detailed record of the fleet, drivers and their locations at-all-times.
- Review all tickets for accuracy and discrepancies daily to ensure hours, rate and all relevant information is correct before it is sent to billing. This includes but is not limited verifying BOL’S and organizing wait time, shop time, non- billable hours accordingly.
- Keep an accurate record of all ongoing jobs and relevant details acting a resource for both employees and customers.
- Complete the dispatch spreadsheet in its entirely on a daily basis to submit to Opreations.
- Track units as required to ensure accuracy on bill of ladings and timecards.
