ADESA Edmonton is currently looking for a full time Dispatcher for our Transportation Department. Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Transportation Supervisor the Dispatcher coordinates and organizes daily trips and assigns drivers for pickup or delivery of vehicles.
- Completes all relevant paperwork to ensure the smooth transition of vehicle pickup and delivery
- Assists with staffing which includes the recruiting of new staff, training, performance management, health and safety, etc.
- Ensure all company vehicles are in safe operating condition by scheduling regular maintenance and performing weekly checks
- Assists in Sale Day activities, as directed
- Other duties as assigned
Educational/Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 1-3 years previous related experience
- Valid driver's license
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Team player with exceptional communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office environment and mobile applications
- A self-starter who can assess work volumes and ensure timely completion of these prioritized tasks
- Criminal Record Check completed and cleared by ADESA is mandatory
