Description
The Emergency Receiving Home Coordinator is responsible for the comprehensive supervision of the homes. The coordinator must manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the program, strictly within the policies and guidelines set by FDFN. The objective of this program is to provide direct support services to Emergency Receiving Homes and the ERH Child Support Workers. The ERH Coordinator will report directly to the ERH Manager.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure all service delivery mandates and reporting requirements are adhered to as required by the Child and Family Services Act and Flying Dust First Nation.
Provide leadership/advocacy/public education through participation and support for the ongoing developmental process of the workers/communities/families/children involved in the Emergency Receiving Home program.
Attend and provide monthly staff meetings for the Child Support workers.
Provide a written monthly Childcare Worker Report on each child, outlining services provided, hours of service, outcomes achieved, significant incidents and future directions.
Provide information to the department as requested by the department to fulfill its obligations under The Child and Family Services Act.
All applicants must possess the following requirements:
A Bachelor of Social Work/Bachelor of Indian Social Work Degree and or relevant training and experience is preferred.
Must have knowledge in human growth and development, child abuse, neglect indicators, and effects.
Must have knowledge pertaining to the Child and Family Services Act
Must be able to provide community based intensive and holistic support services to children and families at risk of abuse and neglect.
Must be knowledgeable of residential agency operations.
