Under the direction of the Administrator, the Environmental Services Manager is responsible and accountable for the provision of effective Housekeeping, Laundry and Maintenance Services for the Home, residents and staff. Ensures the Home, it’s equipment and linens are in a state of good repair and cleanliness. Ensures a safe environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Qualifications:

· Experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity which may also include experience and demonstrated leadership in the health care field/setting or a relevant field/setting in accordance with the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021, Ontario Regulation ss 246/22 ss. 98(2).

· A post-secondary degree or diploma is preferred;

· Knowledge of evidence-based practices and prevailing practices relating to housekeeping, laundry and maintenance as applicable; and

· 5 years of maintenance related work experience preferred.

· Good problem-solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives.

· Able to interpret and implement applicable laws and regulations.

· Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

· Must be familiar with cleaning products.

· Strong customer service orientation and skills.

· Basic mathematical skills required.
