Environmental Technician

We are looking for an individual to join our team as fulltime Environmental Field Technician beginning May 2024.

Some tasks include:

• Assisting the current field lead with Phase I/II environmental site assessments, including field prep;
• Assisting in wellsite weed checks and vegetation/soil detailed site assessments;
• Helping prepare reports from the field visits;
• Working some weekends;
• Once trained and competent in the required tasks, the individuals will become leads.

Qualifications and Skills, we are looking for include:

• Previous work experience in reclamation is an asset but not a requirement
• Living in Vermilion or the surrounding area is a must
• Valid Drivers License and vehicle for field work
• Environmental Degree, or a Diploma in a related field
• Safety tickets such as First Aid, H2S, Ground Disturbance is preferred
• A computer to work off of is required as computer work is done from home
• Individual should be motivated to work and have excellent communication skills
• Understanding of environmental regulations, and reclamation documents is an asset
• Ability to work extensively in the field in a range of weather conditions
• A reliable truck or SUV for field work. By using your own vehicle you are compensated by getting money per km that you drive

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $30.00-$36.00 per hour
