Pinetree Catering is currently seeking an Event and Catering Coordinator.

This position would be a 1 year Maternity Leave Contract with the possibility of leading into a permanent position. The position would be great for an experienced server looking for a new challenge.

Please Note: Substantial additional renumeration is based on event commissions.

The successful applicant should possess:

- Own reliable transportation as we are not on an city bus routes

- A minimum of 1 year experience in event coordinating experience.

-Food and beverage experience is required.

- A minimum of 1 year experience is staff management.

- Have strong organization, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.

-Must be available for irregular hours including weekends and evenings.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Pinetree Catering management team to plan and execute offsite catering events. The ideal candidate will have an interest and working knowledge in event coordinating, including but not limited to wedding, corporate and private event coordinating. You will be part of intimate events as well as large scale gatherings.

The individual will be responsible for all aspect of event planning, including but not limited to client inquiries, client interactions, creating quotes, packing for events, set up of events, staff management, event execution and clean up. Experience is serving in bartending is an asset as regular front of house duties are included in this position. The individual is responsible to set a positive tone through all these aspects and would have outstanding organizational and communication skills.

Additional task included:

-administrative task

-delivery and set up of caterings to corporate offices and private homes

-scheduling and management contract service staff

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Salary: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
