Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and execute a wide range of events, including festivals, weddings, and social gatherings.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event objectives and requirements
- Source and negotiate with vendors
- Coordinate event logistics, including catering arrangements, audiovisual setup, and transportation
- Develop event budgets and manage expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness
- Create detailed event timelines and schedules to ensure smooth execution
- Oversee event setup and teardown, ensuring all elements are in place and functioning properly
- Provide on-site coordination during events to ensure client satisfaction
- Handle any issues or emergencies that may arise during events
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of the hospitality industry, including hotels, restaurants, and guest services
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and event attendees
- Ability to upsell services and products to clients to maximize revenue opportunities
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management to ensure events stay within allocated funds
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable contracts with vendors
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to overcome challenges during event planning and execution
- Time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with marketing strategies to promote events and attract attendees
