The Ministry is seeking a strategic leader with strong management and communication skills for the full-time role of Executive Director, Medical Services Branch. You will set the direction and guide the work of the branch, which is responsible for leading the negotiation, implementation, processing and evaluation of insured health services and provides strategic policy advice related to physician compensation, the recruitment and retention of physicians, medical education, and physician licensure. You will provide leadership to a team of professional staff and work collaboratively to build and maintain a respectful and effective branch culture.

You will possess knowledge of:
Government structure, protocol, policies and procedures including decision-making, political, legislative and budget development processes;
- Health Sector issues, partnerships and stakeholder relationships; and,
- Negotiation tactics and strong performance and financial management.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through:
- Completion of a graduate degree in public policy, political science, economics, or business administration supplemented with related experience.
