Moonlight Inn is seeking a dynamic Executive housekeeper to join our team at our Moonlight Inn in Sudbury, ON. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining a clean and appealing guest room according to policy standards. Reports to the General Manager. Works under general instructions to prioritize and complete assigned tasks. Willing to work in an Outdoor and Indoor setting.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and implement operational procedures for housekeeping department
- Select and purchase equipment and supplies
- Plan and co-ordinate activities of housekeeping supervisors and crews
- Co-ordinate inspection of assigned areas
- Supervise staff
- Co-ordinate contract services
- Supervise maintenance and repair services
- Co-ordinate maintenance and repair services
- Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals
- Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment and uniforms
- Supervise in-house laundry services
- Schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff
- Ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out
- Respond to complaints of guests
- Change bed linen daily.
- Vacuum and Mop flooring.
- Dust all furniture (picture frames, bed frames, lamps, TVs, dressers).
- Remove fingerprints and smudges (i.e. mirrors, shiny surfaces, windows, etc.)
- Thoroughly clean the bathroom area—wash shower stall, sink, floor, toilet, etc.
- Adhere to hotel standard cleaning requirements.
- Make sure that the standard room set-up is complied with.
- Report all damage found in a room immediately.
- Report all missing items in a room and any personal guest items found in vacant rooms immediately.
- Notify the front desk of al roll-a-ways or cribs in rooms for pick-up and storage.
- Responsible for a passkey and ensuring it is turned in daily.
- Ensuring all “lost and found” items are turned in to the General Manager or Front Desk immediately.
- Shut off all lights, TVs, and air conditioners when leaving the room.
- Assist General Manager with any additional cleaning chores that may be assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used by guests visiting the workplace.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Some heavy lifting required.
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Able to accept and deal with change on a daily occurrence.
- Able to listen and follow instructions from Management and work well with team members.
- Use of cleaning chemicals.
- Must follow all COVID19 requirements

Salary: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
