Responsibilities:
Responsible for the management of the people and operations of your location
Working with the senior management team to ensure the successful planting, production, harvest, storage, and delivery of the crops for your location
Develop agronomic field plans in partnership with Agronomy Manager & CEO
Scout & monitor fields for crop staging, weeds, disease, or nutrition deficiency in partnership with the Agronomy manager
Supervise in-field tasks such as seeding, spraying, harvest
Maintain crop condition in storage
Assign work tasks to staff
Train and mentor staff
Prepare Repair and Maintenance budgets
Ensure proactive maintenance of equipment is performed at regular service intervals
Ensure accurate record of farm activity
Lead your team, and in the busy seasons participate in:
Fill in where and when other employees are not available with priority given to training and developing other staff over personally operating equipment
Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Maintaining & procuring shop supplies and parts inventory
The safe operation of all farm equipment;
