D&M Lightfoot Farms Ltd. is searching for a Farm Manager to welcome onto their team as they continue to grow this local success story.

As a valued addition to the D&M Lightfoot team, the Farm Manager will be responsible for overseeing the general day to day operations of the family farm. Our farm operations consist of three supply-managed poultry barns, forty acres of grape vineyards, and a small animal farm operation.
The ideal candidate is someone who has 5+ years of farm management experience, can prioritize tasks and manage multiple employees over several different job sites. As many of our workers are temporary foreign workers, the ability to fluently speak Spanish would be considered an asset.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to:
- Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting workers.
- Develop work schedules and establish work procedures to be followed.
- Train workers in duties and policies.
- Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.
- Recognize and treat certain livestock health problems.
- Manage and drive employee safety programs.
- Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations.
- Perform general farm duties as required.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings.
Equipment and Machinery Experience:
- Tractors
- Forklift
- Sprayer
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to withstand long workdays on your feet.
- Ability to work in both hot and cold climates.
- Ability to safely lift and move heavy objects.
Other Required Skills:
- Poultry and/or Vineyard experience considered an asset.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Organized.
- Ability to speak Spanish.
Reports to: Farm Owner
Mandatory Attire: Steel toed footwear

Salary: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
