Burnbrae Farms, Number #1 producer of eggs in Canada, is a proud 6th generation Canadian family owned and operated egg business, producing eggs for over 70 years, with facilities across Canada (Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba, British Columbia, and Quebec).
The Account Manager is responsible for managing all day-to-day aspects of the relationship with Empire Canada (Sobeys). As a member of the Retail Sales team, you will be a key resource in ensuring volume, sales and profitability objectives are achieved.
*The selected candidate will need to be able to cummute to the Halifax facility once a week*
What you’ll be working on:
- Building and maintaining high-trust relationships with the assigned retail customer
- Manage day to day account activities including planning and executing promotional activities, booking promotions, and clearing associated paperwork.
- Forecast, track, and mine key account metrics.
- Support the development and implementation of strategic sales initiatives to increase product distribution and market penetration.
- In conjunction with the Sales teams, initiate and capitalize on effective merchandizing and display opportunities, including effective off-shelf positioning and product presentation.
- Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed.
- Coordinate the involvement of internal Burnbrae resources to meet customer performance objectives and expectations.
- Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned customer accounts.
- Improve listing base and fill any gaps using Field Sales team and other tools.
- Work with team to develop category management process and review.
Qualifications & Experience:
- University degree or College diploma
- Minimum 8 years experience effectively managing major key accounts (preference given to experience with Sobeys, FreshCo, Foodland, IGA, Farm Boy and Longos
- Strong analytical, planning and presentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French (MUST).
- Above average knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
- Strong Customer focus
- Understanding of Category Management principles
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and demands.
- Ability to penetrate customer beyond immediate contact and build relationships.
