Job Title:Farmers Market Brand Ambassador
Schedule: Part Time (Weekends), May - October

About Wild Lot:
Wild Lot Farm Distillery is a fresh new venture set on 35 acres of farmland in beautiful Prince Edward County. Our state-of-the-art distillation facility is housed in a converted 1500 square foot metal barn, sitting proudly beside a restored 2500 square foot 100 year old barn containing a retail shop, tasting room, and event space, formerly operating as a dairy farm. A number of botanicals grown on site are to be leveraged throughout our product line-up.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee local Farmers Market sales, sampling, & brand activation from May until October (Saturdays & Sundays) in both Picton and Wellington locations.
- This includes:
o Set up / Tear Down of 10’ x 10’ Farmers Market booth including all marketing materials, tent, signage, tables, and product/merchandise.
o Act as a Brand Ambassador for our farm and products, representing Wild Lot positively to other local businesses, the local community, and tourists.
o Sampling & driving trial and awareness of our products and our farm location (i.e. send customers to our farm distillery for lunch / cocktails).
o Selling our full line of products (spirits, canned cocktails, bitters, merch) and answering any questions that Farmers Market customers have.
o Provide usage ideas, recipes, cocktail ideas, and tasting notes on all products.
o Oversee transactions through cash & handheld POS unit.
o Networking & business development activities (i.e. talk with prospective new customer accounts like hotels, bars/restaurants, etc. interested in carrying our products).
Schedule / Commitment:
Wellington Markets on Saturday (at The Eddy) - 25 Dates – Saturday May 11 to October 26 (9am to 1:30pm)
- 7am – inventory/packing car (i.e. pick up sufficient inventory of all products, fill cooler with ice and product for sampling, grab marketing materials/signs/tent/table dressings, POS, and cash float).
- 8am – arrive & set up (set up tent in 10x10 space, set up fold out table, dress table, stock table and put out prices, set up sampling cups / cooler full
- 9am - market starts
- 1:30pm – market ends
- 1:30-2:30/3pm – tear down, travel time & unpack car (to avoid overheating / product damage)
Picton Markets on Sundays (in parking lot behind the Royal)- 25 Dates – Sunday May 12 to October 27 (9am to 1:30pm)
- Same as above but market ends at 2pm (so day ends roughly 3-3:30pm)
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
Must Haves:
- Smart Serve Certified.
- An exceptional communicator who enjoys working with others.
- Sales, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Enjoys working outdoors.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
- Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.
- Must have the ability to work on their feet for the majority of their work day
- Ability to lift up to 25kg (50lbs)
- Access to reliable vehicle (to pack and transport product & Farmers Market booth)
