VALOR Labs Inc. is actively hiring a highly motivated Laboratory Analyst/Field Technician to join our team at our laboratory located in Lloydminster, AB. This is a permanent, full-time position.

The Laboratory Analyst/Field Technician duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: providing technical and analytical laboratory and field; and, representing VALOR Labs Inc. and its core values in a professional manner to the oil and gas industry throughout western
Canada.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support sample login, preparation and analysis while adhering to ASTM Methods and internal Standard Operating

Procedures (SOPs) and the Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Ensure sample collection cylinders are properly labeled and organized. Complete associated Chain of Custody

(COC) forms and data entry for all samples.

  • Performing maintenance, verification, and calibration of analytical equipment at set frequencies (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly, annually).
  • Clean, prepare, recharge, and organize sampling cylinders, bottles, supplies, and equipment.
  • Complete shipping and receiving of samples and supplies using external shipping suppliers (e.g., Purolator,

FedEx).

  • Perform field sampling from a variety of production sample points.
  • Maintain vehicles, trailers, and mobile equipment.
  • Ensure Health and Safety Policies and Protocols are strictly adhered to in the laboratory and in the field.
  • Ensure cylinders are properly labeled and organized. Complete associated Chain of Custody (COC) forms for all samples.
  • Provide support to other members of our team and to other service areas in the Company.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to self-manage and work responsibly and efficiently, and communicate with clients, lab personnel and management.
  • Strong attention to detail for quality control and data management.
  • Mechanically inclined with basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, and an ability to manage time, and work independently.
  • Valid drivers license is required for travel within Canada.
  • Ability to stay overnight out of town, work overtime and weekends during peak sampling times.
  • Positive attitude, team player, and appreciation for working with great clients.
  • Previous experience with oil and gas sector analytical laboratory, petroleum sampling services or fluid management systems is an asset, but not required.
  • Industry knowledge and field experience with upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas facilities, protocols and layout are an asset, but not required.
  • Job training will be provided including safety equipment, PPE, and training for relevant certifications (e.g., First-

Aid, WHMIS, H2S).
